First-time visitors to Harbor School often comment on the genuine warmth and welcoming family atmosphere that is evidenced by a happiness that floats through the interactions between staff, students and their families. Although there is a strong framework of structure and routine to the school day, it is a spirit of enthusiasm that is infused into the daily schedule that provides a much-needed spark of motivation to put forth our best efforts.
Upon closer look, the diversity of the student population creates unique opportunities that foster a true team approach in developing highly individualized educational programs seeking to empower each student to use their strengths to help one another.
The longevity of the staff speaks to their dedication and commitment beyond the school day as they respond to any student, including graduates, or family need at any time with overwhelming empathy and generosity.
Further time spent within Harbor School community reveals a dynamic program that continually supports and challenges each student, staff and family member to develop and enhance their skills and talents in support of one another and all those who may be in need. The Harbor School is truly a safe haven which embraces all those who enter in a spirit of mutual respect, collaboration and advocacy toward hope and possibility for a lifetime.
