Special Education Programs at Harbor School
At Harbor School we are proud to have a curriculum filled with programs uniquely catered so our students can succeed at school and most importantly, get them ready for the outside world.
Our academic program covers multiple subjects such as math, language arts, social studies and science, literacy/reading, handwriting, computers and health.
At Harbor School we offer a wide range of programs for everyday living including but not limited to: cooking, activities of daily life and pre-vocational skills, in addition to functional reading and math.
Harbor School features occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, art, music, dance, counseling, nursing and job sampling/transition. In addition we offer supportive behavior, social skills and crisis intervention programs for our special education students.
Harbor School utilizes a variety of technology used in different styles as a teaching tool through white boards with Mimio Systems, iPads, augmentative technologies, in addition to our robot friend “Sheldon”.
