Autism Support

Our experience across the spectrum to help our students achieve the best they can be.

Harbor School’s day school program provides exemplary educational services year-round to students between 5-21 years of age, regardless of where the student falls on the autism spectrum.

With certified teachers, licensed specialists, well-trained paraprofessionals, a low teacher-to-student ratio, and small, state-of-the-art classroom settings, Harbor School's educational program for children on the Autism Spectrum is tailored to meet the specific individual needs of each of our students.

While Harbor School educates students with multiple disabilities, we specifically focus on servicing students with a primary diagnosis of autism and multiple secondary diagnoses.

Facts about Autism Spectrum Disorders

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is the fastest-growing developmental disability in the nation, affecting approximately one in 31 children according to the CDC. Although there is currently no cure for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), early intervention has been shown to improve a child’s development.

The CDC and early childhood professionals agree the earlier children receive appropriate assessment and intervention, the more that can be done to help them reach their full potential.
