On-site Nursing Services and Support
Harbor School nursing staff consists of a certified school nurse and a registered nurse who provide a high level of skilled nursing services and techniques for students and staff.
Our nurses work together to create an environment of respect and rapport to assess the needs of the unique medical issues of our student population. Our nursing staff works closely with teachers, therapists and our students’ families to promote the health and well-being of the Harbor School community.

Meet Veronica Acuna – Harbor School's Primary School Nurse
Veronica Acuna, BSN, RN, CSN, serves as the school nurse at Harbor School. Before becoming a registered nurse, she worked as a Patient Care Technician for six years, which provided her with a strong foundation in hands-on patient care and deepened her passion for nursing.
Veronica graduated from Chamberlain University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, she spent two years working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she developed specialized skills in pediatric and critical care nursing.
To further support students in a school setting, Veronica also earned her School Nurse Certification from William Paterson University. Veronica is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for our students.

Meet Jessica Lemma – Harbor School's Secondary School Nurse
Jessica Lemma graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2018 from the Medical University of South Carolina. Throughout her nursing career, Jessica has gained experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and school environments. Her goal is to promote the health and well-being of Harbor School students and to support their success both in and out of the classroom.
