Harbor School Hosts Transition Fair 2017

Transition Fair

On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, Harbor School hosted its Transition Fair for parents, educators and case managers among others.  It was a night filled with vital information for anyone who deals with the special needs population.

Various agencies, providers and community organizations came to enlighten parents and others about the different options for adult (21 and over) services, transition programs, respite, camps and service eligibility.   Each agency sent a representative and had a table to display information booklets,  pamphlets and “giveaways” (pens, bags, change purses..) for people walking around.  A light dinner was also served to the participating representatives and guests.

Harbor School has hosted this event for the past few years with the help of their sister schools, Alpha and Gateway It was a night teeming with important and necessary information especially for parents who have the task of considering the future for their special needs children.

For those who could not attend but are interested, below is a list and links to the agencies and organizations who attended the fair.
