Sensory Locations

Our Supportive Sensory Locations Here at Harbor School.

The Harbor School sensory locations throughout our building provide supportive spaces designed to meet the emotional, behavioral, and sensory regulation needs of our students. These areas serve multiple vital functions within our specialized school program. They are intentionally structured to create a safe, calming, and sensory-rich environment that promotes self-regulation, positive behavioral outcomes, and overall student well-being.

Access to these sensory spaces is provided for students as part of their individualized IEPs and/or Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support their unique learning and behavioral needs. Throughout these locations, students have access to a variety of sensory supports, including swings, canoes, and other therapeutic equipment that help foster regulation, engagement, and readiness for learning.
