Harbor PTA Newsletter – February 2018
Happy New Year from the PTA! It’s hard to believe we are looking at February break next week. Listed below are some updates from the first half of the year as well as upcoming fundraisers and events for the spring.
DECEMBER:
Harbor Helpers: We have completed our 2nd year of Harbor Angels to raise money for the students and our final total for 2017 was $900.
Holiday Tree Donations: Once again, our families have been very generous with providing gift cards for this fundraiser and our updated total is $850. This allowed for 2 raffle tree baskets worth $495 each. The Bake Sale remains at $80 and the 50/50 raffle is $280.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Harbor School Prom: The date of the prom is Friday, June 1st at Harbor School. This event is open to students from Alpha and Gateway School as well. PTA will provide decorations, food and DJ for the event.
Graduation 2018: The date for graduation is Friday, June 8th. There will be an educational program in the morning with Graduation to follow at 12:00. Congratulations Graduates!
Semi-Formal Dance: The date for this is Thursday, June 14th. We are rescheduling the possibility of having a semi-formal dance for our High School students with a theme of “Sailing into Summer.” PTA is currently looking at possible venues and will have further details after the break.
Joe Corbi’s Pizza/Cookie Fundraiser: We want to thank those families who participated in this “Super Bowl” fundraiser. There were some unknown requirements for the amount of units purchased which changed our total money raised but we did raise $132.50. Thank you for your support.

To date the PTA has approximately $6,100 in our account. As you can see from the above listed Fundraisers and Expenses we continue to work together to provide our students with extracurricular activities. The PTA thanks you for your continued support and look forward to a successful spring.
