Harbor School Highlights for March/April 2018

Spring is in the air and all of us at Harbor School are looking forward to warm and sunny days ahead!  Harbor continues to focus on providing opportunities for our students to interact with their non-disabled peers.  Students from the Rumson Country Day School, Trinity Hall, St. Dominic School and Colts Neck Middle School visit to socialize, share and learn together with our students.  Our respective students are forging friendships based on acceptance, mutual respect and genuine care for another.

Social skills remain a vital area of focus for our students and we continue to provide a variety of activities to instruct, develop and enhance theses skills with in our school program as well as out after school Social Skills program.  Our students have several upcoming special social opportunities including Middletown Dance Academy sponsored dance schedule for April 13 and our 4th Annual Talent Show to be held on March 29 from 12:30-2:00 pm.

On April 18 we will host our 12th Annual Alumni Day which has become a hallmark event of our school year.  We welcome back our students who have graduated to catch up on their lives in the adult world and also connect with their families to keep an awareness of how to prepare our student for “Life After Harbor School.”

Plan ahead for our Spring Show and Graduation Ceremony which will take place on Friday, June 8 at 12:00 pm.
